Few brands are as deeply rooted in the world of marine timekeeping as Ulysse Nardin. With nearly 180 years of watchmaking heritage, the brand’s roots in the sea are reflected in the classic Marine collection and the modern Diver collection. Following the re-launch of the 44mm Diver Chronometer series in 2018 and a series of Diver Net limited editions, most notably the Vendée Globe Limited Edition, the new Diver Hammerhead Shark watch represents the latest extension of this heritage with a modern and technological design.
With a diameter of 44mm and a thickness of 14.81mm, the Diver Hammerhead Shark watch is very conspicuous on the wrist, while its titanium construction ensures that it is lightweight and comfortable. The case is coated with blue PVD, giving it a sleek, modern aesthetic and enhanced corrosion resistance. The unidirectional rotating bezel has a blue rubber insert for excellent grip and tactile feedback, and is equipped with a 60-minute diving scale with the series' iconic red "0" mark at the top. The screw-down crown is protected by a red guard, which adds both functional protection and a dynamic visual effect. The caseback is engraved with a hammerhead shark pattern with red details, indicating the model, limited edition status and 300-meter water resistance.
The finely sandblasted blue dial is decorated with the iconic "X" pattern of the diving series and is presented in red and blue. The wide luminous hour markers and hands are the iconic features of the diving series, and the time can be clearly read in any environment. The small seconds dial at 6 o'clock has a round date display window, and its red outlined luminous second hand is clearly visible, indicating that the movement is running. The luminous power reserve indicator at 12 o'clock can instantly read the remaining power.
